The problem

Most “smart homes” are a pile of gadgets that do not talk. Each one brings its own app, its own login and its own cloud. They bury the household in screens nobody asked for, stop working the moment the line lags, and quietly gather the family’s habits on servers you will never see. It feels like an unsafe toy, not a fine house.

What we do about it

We design homes around one rule: the technology should vanish. One local system replaces the clutter, and it runs with no need for the internet. Control is wired into the building — behind the walls, into the keypads, into the routine — so it works in silence, keeps the family’s data at home, and fits how you live instead of asking you to learn an app.

Scenes you never have to think about.

  1. The house wakes before you do

    Shades ease open, the light warms out of cold white, and the bedroom — only the bedroom — comes up to temperature. Occupancy decides that, not a schedule somebody has to maintain.

  2. One press on the way out

    Lights off, climate to setback, gate closed, cameras armed. One keypad by the door rather than four apps in your pocket.

  3. Evening finds its own level

    As the sun drops the lighting shifts warm and the shades follow dusk rather than a clock. Nobody adjusts anything, and nobody notices it happening.

  4. The internet drops. Nothing changes.

    Every scene, schedule, lock and climate zone runs on a server inside the house. The cloud was never in the path, so losing it costs you nothing at all.

  5. Goodnight, in one press

    The house goes dark, the doors lock, the perimeter arms, and the path lights hold at ten percent for anyone still moving.

  6. The house holds its own

    Climate falls to minimum, the cameras keep watching locally, and the house reports to you — not to a vendor whose servers you have never seen.

01 Architectural collaboration We read the plans with your architect and designer, and put hardware where the design wants it, not where a cable happens to reach.
02 Physical infrastructure Solid local bus pathways and secure network loops run behind the walls before the plaster goes on.
03 Local control server An independent, secure home server manages every device on site. No cloud account is required for the house to function.
04 Behavioural programming Scenes follow who is actually home and what the weather is doing. Lights, heating and blinds move because the house noticed, not because a timer fired.
05 Minimal control surfaces Clean wall keypads for daily use, and one uncluttered dark dashboard for the rest.

Questions we get asked

What happens to the house if our internet goes down?
Everything keeps running. The system is built around a local server, so lights, schedules, switches and climate automations work perfectly with no active internet link. Remote access from outside the house is the only thing you lose until it returns.
Can you integrate the entertainment systems we already own?
Usually, yes. We specialise in bringing premium multi-room audio, climate zones, architectural lighting and security into one clean dashboard rather than replacing equipment that already works.
Do we have to use an app?
No. The app exists, and it is good — but the house is designed so that a family member who never opens it still gets the full benefit. Physical keypads and automatic behaviour carry the daily experience.

The house runs on a local server, so it depends on the network being genuinely reliable — and it shares that server with cameras and custom sensors.
